" Vampire Bones " discovered

According to the Telegraph, skeletons were found with their heads removed and placed on their legs in the Polish town of Gliwice.
This gruesome burial is evidence that the victims had been accused of being a vampire and thus subjected to an execution ritual -- murdered and mutilated, to make sure that the undead stayed dead.
It's not clear when the bodies were buried. One archaeologist at the site said they had no belt buckles, buttons or other adornments that could help determine their era. Historians say the practice of killing accused vampires was common in Slavic lands after the adoption of Christianity, the Telegraph reported.
Sometimes, those accused of being vampires were simply decapitated, while others would be hung from a gibbet (a gallows of sorts) until the head separated from the body. Then, the heads were placed on the legs to deter the so-called “creatures of the night” from rising from their graves.

Secret Starbucks drinks

Crunchberry Frappuccino (Starbucks)

There are a number of popular “secret” Starbucks concoctions nestled around the blogosphere. Among the strangest is the Crunchberry Frappuccino, with a flavor profile inspired by (but not actually including) the cereal of the same name. It’s just the strawberry version of Starbucks' frozen blended drink with hazelnut syrup, and it’s purported to taste just like Crunchberries. Other popular “secret” Frappuccino flavors include cake batter (vanilla and almond flavoring added to a vanilla frap), raspberry cheesecake (raspberry syrup added to any white chocolate frap), and Nutella (chocolate, hazelnut, and caramel)

Walmart Drops Paula Deen

I'm guessing that Today Show appearance didn't trick the big retail stores that carry Paula Deen products!

Walmart, America’s biggest retailer, said this afternoon that it was severing ties with Paula Deen immediately, the latest company to end its relationship since revelations this week that Deen admitted in a deposition for a workplace discrimination suit that she used racist language and tolerated racist jokes in one of her restaurants.

In their official statement:

We are ending our relationship with Paula Deen Enterprises,” Walmart said in a statement. “And we will not place new orders beyond those already committed. We will work with suppliers to address existing inventories and agreements.”

Walmart has carried Deen-branded products since the year of 2011. Both the Food Network as well as Smithfield Foods have already ended their relationships with Deen.

Earlier on Wednesday, Caesars Entertainment, which operates a number of Deen-themed restaurants,  ended its deals as well.
